Increasing the chances of marriage: Chettykulam Shri Egambareshwarar Temple
Chettykulam Arch lies on the way to Perambalur from Trichy. An 8km travel from here will get you to Chettykulam village and this temple in which the lord Shri Egambareshwarar takes the thronealong with his wife Shri Kaamaatchi Ambaal. Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays are ideal days to worship the deities here with offerings of Sarees and Vermillion, which in the Hindu tradition, symbolize togetherness of the husband and wife. The lord' s favorite offering is Vilva leaves. Generally, in all Shiva temples, Vilva leaves are the main offering. It is believed that worshipping the lords here will put back on track auspicious events that were prevented by circumstances; especially marriages.
