Thittai is at about 11 kms from Thanjavur. Here, Brihaspathi aka Guru bhagavan has a separate altar. On Guru peyarchi day, thousands of devotees throng here for darshan. Rajaguru bhagavan's shrine is in between Sri Vashishteswarar's shrine and that of Sri Ulaganaayagi.
Vashithar, Thirumaal, Brahma, Adi Seshan, Kamadhenu, Murugan, Bhairavar and celestial beings perfomed penance here and worshipped Lord Siva here. Thursdays are very special here for Rajaguru bhagavan and a huge number of devotees throng here.
